The Salt Lake Cemetery: West Zone

June 13th, and it's the West Zone's turn to tour the Salt Lake Cemetery. Another beautiful day!
Another great story told by Brother Smith. It seems that both President David O. McKay and his wife had short tempers. But President McKay wanted to make sure that he never spoke a harsh word to his wife. So whenever he began to feel upset, he would excuse himself from home, take his hat, open the kitchen window, and head out for a long walk. Upon his return, he would toss his hat through the open window into the kitchen. If it was thrown right back out the window again, he would go for another walk. If it stayed in the house, he could come back in as well. President and Sister McKay never spoke harsh words to one another. Maybe all of us should start wearing hats.
