New Arrivals - March 6th

Tuesday, March 6th, the big old MTC bus rolled up in front of the Mission Office first thing in the morning, and one lonely Sister Missionary disembarked.  It was Sister Torres, here to await her visa.
Sister Magdaleno was dumbfounded: "You mean we get to take her home, and keep her!?!?!?!"
Yes, we are going to claim her as our very own.  We're going to keep her here, and hope that they forget they let us borrow her.  If they don't ask for her back, we're keeping her for 18 months!
Sister Magdaleno and Sister Harris were thrilled!
That afternoon, we got another new missionary at the airport.  Elder Southwick arrived from Texas.  He had started his mission in Madagascar, but due to health issues, had to come home for a bit.  Now he was arriving in the Utah Salt Lake City Mission to complete his second year of his mission.
Of course, since he arrived at noon, we had to take him out to lunch.
We told him all kinds of great things about our mission.
We introduced him to his new companions, Elder Miller and Elder Jones.
We took his picture, and sent him on his way!  Welcome !
