Another perfect day in paradise. We all enjoyed swimming in the ocean and playing in the sand.
JD, Alli, Madison and Jesse had some adventures in kayaking, when it took the adults a while to figure out why it was so hard to paddle. Madison was happily paddling backwards while Jesse was paddling forward! A few brave souls went venturing out to the nearest island.
Bob and Melissa went for a walk and we all left while they were gone. We were trying to ditch them, but they found us anyway.
Taya and Hailey did some sunbathing on a lounge chair together, which they quite enjoyed.
We all got strawberry daiquiris for lunch and Taya had her very first french fry. She loved it! In fact, when it got too soggy and Loni tried to exchange it for a fresh one, Taya tightened up that little fist and held on like there was no tomorrow!
Alli decided that she was big enough to go into the ocean all by herself whenever she felt like it. She is five, you know. She loved the water trampoline, and was disappointed that there were only big people to jump on it with her, and no children. Jamie's the littlest of the big people, so she went out to jump with Alli.
On another trip to town we found a real grocery store and actual familiar-looking food. The availability of delicacies was increased to include not only pig's feet, but pig tails and pig ears as well! We picked spaghetti instead, and replenished our stock of Oreos. Thank goodness! Jolene, Kristi and Melissa cooked us a delicious dinner, and we sat around visiting until bedtime.
Another day in paradise ended.
