Another delectable week in the Salt Lake City Mission, and aren't you all jealous that you aren't us!?!?! We are having a tasty time here! This first picture suddenly makes me realize that some time I should do a video of our house, so that you will know that this is taken in our family room, right off the kitchen. So there's the teaser, and check back weekly for the upcoming episode of Cribs: Life in the Mission Home!
Sister Winn and her Sisters

With meeting the missionaries and the zone conferences behind us, we moved on to some new experiences in the mission. That actually isn't too hard to do, since pretty much EVERYTHING is a new experience out here! We decided to round up all the sister missionaries and have them over for breakfast. Our twenty-six sister missionaries come from twelve states, Paraguay, Canada, Tonga, Mexico and Japan. They are a hard-working, fun-loving bunch and we had a delicious breakfast of pancakes and bacon and eggs and fruit, which they all helped make. They swapped some clothes, visited with each other, talked a bit about missionary work, and then headed out to continue on with their preparation day. P-Day, as it is affectionately called, is the one day a week that they have to grocery shop, do their laundry, clean their apartments and then get a little bit of exercise with a fun game of soccer or something. They all agreed that a breakfast together was the perfect way to start their P-Day!

Bruce and I don't really get P-Days that we know of, so we snag P-Hours when we can. And this week, we found some excellent ways to spend our P-Hours! The next day after the sisters' breakfast, our tiny little piggies in a blanket arrived, in the form of Jenna-Bug! We were so excited that Alixa and Jenna came out to visit us! Lucky for us, Alixa's brother and his wife are having a baby next week, so they came out to see them in Idaho and stopped for a few days to visit us in Utah. Bruce and I have been missing our grandbabies so much, and it was the perfect treat for us to have them come. Jolie, Rob and Kristi came up from Provo a couple of times to see them too. We are still busy with our mission labors, but Alixa has many good friends in the area from her college days, so she plays with them when we are busy and we find time to catch up on grandparenting time as we can. We sure do love having this little cuddler here, who gives hugs and kisses and knows lots of tricks she can do for us!

On Sunday, July18, we had a very special dinner invitation. A local family here invited us to join them and their parents for Sunday dinner. The local family just happened to be Jason and Jennie Soulier and their four adorable and very polite children. The parents just happened to be Mike and Barbara Soulier. What a yummy dinner we enjoyed with them, and the chatting around the table about old times in Delaware was just as enjoyable!
