April Fools!

First of all, you must remember that April Fools Day is an event, and not a date.  One should not be limited to a particular date for pulling pranks, as there are 365 perfectly good days in the year for such activities.  Secondly, there was a New Missionary Training Meeting scheduled for April 2nd, and that seemed like the perfect opportunity to play said pranks.  Of course, I decorated the President's office for the day.  That goes without saying.  Some activities are so steeped in tradition that it would be heartbreaking to let them stop.  Years and years of packing peanuts, toilet paper, saran wrap, aluminum foil, birds, Orlando Bloom posters and potpourri, balls and more balls...traditions like this just cannot be stopped.  So I very carefully created a jungle around the 50 pound box of peanuts that someone had given me six months ago and I had been saving because I knew there had to be a good use for them!  Bruce LOVED it!  He always does. :)

The best part of the April Fools Day event occurred during the actual New Missionary Training and sadly, we did not get any pictures of it.  It happened when two fabulous friends of a friend showed up at different times during the day, swooning over the President, claiming to be huge fans of him, and seeking his autograph in their Preach My Gospel books.  It was better than any paparazzi has ever been, and included a finale of an operetta rendition of Carry On!  Carry On!  Carry On!  Best April Fools ever!  You shoulda been there!
