Kristi's Temple Day

April 23rd was a very special day for Kristi Diane Winn. This was the day that she chose to go to the temple, The House of the Lord, for the very first time. Going to the temple is a significant commitment for members of the church. In order to enter the temple, Kristi has to have interviews with her church leaders to determine if she is living the commandments of Jesus Christ, and the standards of our church. Entering the temple signifies that Kristi is willing to make specific covenants with our Heavenly Father that she will keep for the rest of her life. It is a joyous occasion, and Kristi was pretty excited about it! We were especially happy that many of our family members and friends could share this day with us. The weather was a little cloudy early in the day, but the sun came out later, and it was just perfect. Kristi and David arrived in the morning at the Mount Timpanogos Temple, where Bruce and I were waiting for them.

Soon, other friends and family members joined us in the temple. After the religious service, we gathered outside in the sunshine for some hamming for the camera!

After rescuing the babysitters from our gaggle of grandchildren, we all met for lunch, where we ate and visited and played together. It was a perfect day! We were all happy to be together and glad we could share Kristi's special day with her.
