Alli and Madison

We got to go on an airplane all by ourselves and fly to Utah to visit our grandma and grandpa who are on a mission. It was way fun! Mom took us to the Philadelphia airport at 4:00 in the morning when it was still dark. The flight attendant said that a 7 year-old and a 6 year-old are very young to fly alone, but we weren't afraid at all. We had a great time on the flight! Mom told us we could only go to the bathroom one time, but it was an emergency, so we went twice anyway. After a while, the flight attendant told us we couldn't push the CALL button any more. Finally, we got to Salt Lake City and got off the plane. Hooray!

The first thing we did was stop at McDonald's on the way home because we were so so starving!
The next thing we did was to go shopping, because that is what grandma is best at! We got some new shoes and she let us pick any kind we want! We picked the ones with bling all over them that light up when we walk. Oh my goodness, our mom would NEVER buy those kind of shoes for us!! Grandma says that's why she buys them. We love to shop with grandma.

At home, grandma let us have a snack of graham crackers with lots of frosting on them. Yum!
On another day, grandma drove us to Springville, where Aunt Kristi, who is the fanciest aunt ever, works in a REAL salon! Aunt Kristi has been giving us hair cuts our whole lives, but we never got to go to a real salon for them before. It was awesome. We got to sit in the chair that spins all around. We got to have our hair washed in the funny sink. And we got hair cuts. And we got glitter toes. And Kristi even painted our fingernails when we got home.
Kristi did our hair all kinds of fancy ways while we were in Utah. Every day that she was around, we looked beautiful! Whenever she had to stay in Springville and go to work, grandma did our hair. Then we just got pony tails, or braids. We really liked it when Kristi was around.

Grandma let us use her camera and take all the pictures we wanted! Whenever she was busy, she would say, "Could you please go outside and take some pictures of each other and of the flowers in our yard?" It was great fun, and we had millions of pictures! Grandma says that digital cameras are the best invention ever!

We got to hang out with the missionaries a lot. We loved doing that so much! One day, we even got to go out to lunch with grandma and Elder Hoffmann and Elder Larson. The elders told us that they got to go out to lunch because they are grandma's favorite. We know they are wrong. We know that WE are grandma's favorite!
One day grandma took us over to see our cousins named the Newbrys. We had a simply marvelous time playing with Sarah Kate and Ben and Hannah and Grace! It was just about our favorite day of the whole trip!
There is a park and working farm not too far from grandma and grandpa's house. They took us there a couple of times. We got to see ducks, cows, bunnies, chickens, horses, goats and all sorts of other animals there. We even got to milk the cow! When we were done with that, the calf wanted to lick the milk off our fingers. We wondered why the goats had price tags on their ears.

Just before we left the farm, Alli slipped and fell in the hugest mud puddle ever! Grandma said it was hysterical. Alli did not think it was funny at all. Then, grandma washed her off with the hose, and ended up getting both of them dripping wet. After a while, Alli thought it was funny too.
We worked on some special projects for Christmas presents for our family while we were there.
Every night we were exhausted and ready for bed!

Every night we talked and giggled anyway. One day, grandma made us breakfast in bed. Our mom never lets us eat breakfast in bed! Grandma just said, "Oh well, your mom isn't here."

Grandma and grandpa said they will miss having pink sneakers in their shoe line when we leave.
