I like to run. Of course, I use the term "run" very loosely. Running is when I move a little bit faster than crawling. But whatever it is, I like to do it because it helps me know for sure that I am alive every morning. It gives me the illusion that I am still 17 and an athlete. Okay, not really, but it wakes me up. Most mornings I go to the local high school and run around the track a bit, and run up and down the stadium stairs a bit, and call it exercise. However, I certainly don't want to hog this exuberating experience all to myself, and besides, it's dark at 6:30 in the morning. So whatever set of missionaries happens to live closest to me gets drafted. For example, this transfer Elder Dodge and Elder Ramos happen to live in the apartment next to the eye doctor. That means
they are the lucky companionship that gets to run with me every morning! Their moms would be so proud - not only do they smile through it all, they even run a couple of laps
with me on some mornings. My own children refuse to run
with me, stating that I am the slowest human being on this planet. (This statement is a fact documented in the 2007 Guinness Book of World Records) Here we are in the dark at the crack of dawn on Tuesday, October 4th, after our morning run. Thanks, Elders.

Elder Ramos is playing the part of Rocky Balboa today.
