New Missionaries - March 21, 2012

To match our teeny tiny group of departing missionaries, we had a very little incoming class of new missionaries this transfer.  Four, to be exact.  Smallest new missionary group ever.  We hardly knew what to do with ourselves!  President Winn completed his interviews in record time!  I still  managed, however, to be late with breakfast, even though I was cooking for a minuscule number of people!  (I am amazing, am I not?!?!)  But what we lacked in quantity, we made up for with the quality of these four fine young men!
Elder Colton, Elder Thomas, Elder Terry and Elder Putra.

 The transfer meeting begins.
Signing in as the newest Defenders of Zion.

Now for the mug shots with President and Sister Winn.
Elder Thomas from Kingwood, Texas.
Elder Terry from Grapevine, Texas.
Elder Putra from Surakarta, Indonesia.
Elder Colton from Johns Creek, Georgia.
Lunch is served.
And it's time to meet your new companions!
Elder Colton will be serving with Elder Torres.

Elder Thomas will be trained by Elder Carter.

Elder Bonaro and Elder Putra will be serving together.

Elder Terry's new companion is Elder Davis.
A little bit of training.
Learning how to sing "Called to Serve" the USLCM way.
Then they're off for extreme street contacting, dinner, teaching appointments, planning, unpacking, prayers, and finally, the end of the longest day of their lives and bed!  Welcome to the most amazing and wonderful, challenging and rewarding, hardest and most exhausting, most exhilarating and best two years of your life!
The day finishes as Elder Green and Elder Tory take out the trash and try to one-up each other with their Olympic Toss the Trashbag competition.  They were both horrible at it!  But they are adorable and delightful and have many other talents to make up for their deficits in the trash-bag tossing department!
