Valley View 9th Ward has been our home ward while we have been living in Salt Lake City. It is a congregation of the nicest, kindest, most loving people in all the world! They welcomed us into the ward, and have been thoughtful and supportive for the past two years. They love us even though we are less active and hardly ever attend church there, because we are always speaking in other wards and stakes around the mission. We have home teachers who care about us. My visiting teacher, Alisyn Bevan, leaves me sweet treats and notes all the time, even though I am never here and never remember to send her a thank you note. On this particular Tuesday night, President Winn and I got to go over to the chapel and join them for Relief Society. They were having an activity about missionary work, so they had set up a Valley View 9th MTC and we got to come and tell them a little bit about what it's like to be a missionary. We called them all on missions in OUR mission, since we can always use more great missionaries, and let them point out where they would be serving. Sister Adams and Sister Utai were there to help us too. It was delightful! Thank you, Valley View 9th, for all you do for us!
