One of the great things about serving in the Utah Salt Lake City Mission is that we are smack in the middle of where so much church history happened. On a beautiful fall day in September, we took the entire mission on a pioneer trek, up Emigration Canyon and on the same trail where the pioneers came into the valley back in the 1800's. We pulled handcarts, just as many of them did. We played pioneer games and heard stories from our guides about what it was like to trek across America back then. It was an amazing spiritual experience, one that none of us will ever forget.
