Happy Birthday to Me!

Here's what it's like to have a birthday in the mission field:

First thing in the morning, some adorable Sister Missionaries showed up on my doorstep with cupcakes and a delightful round of "Happy Birthday to you!" How could I not smile and be happy about getting old?!?! Thank you, Sister Solano, Sister Taylor and Sister Williams!

The day ended with a Relief Society Celebration in the Conference Center, for 21,000 of my favorite sisters in the Salt Lake area. The celebration was broadcast world wide for all the sisters who couldn't make it to Salt Lake. The opening song was "Happy Birthday to you" ....only with different words and a different tune. Then the prophet addressed me, and I let the rest of the world listen in. He even chose a topic I personally needed to work on. I got to sit by some of my Sister Missionaries, which was fabulous. Thank you Sister Hernandez, Sister Thalman, Sister Arce, Sister Taylor, Sister Blackwelder, Sister Solano, Sister Drew, Sister Williams and Sister Anderson!

And in the middle of the day, Elder Ferrell and Elder Wright came over to sing to me...and have lunch. As many of you know, I can barely even turn on a computer, so I called my favorite grandsnake Mitch and he helped me get this wonderful video onto my blog. Such angelic voices!
I guess getting old isn't really so bad.
