Is this the way to Connecticut?
Sister Larsen is from Denmark. She was called to serve a mission in Connecticut. While she was en route to the United States, her mission call was changed to Utah, Salt Lake City, but she had no way of knowing that. When she tried to check into the MTC at 2:00 a.m. just after her transcontinental flight arrived, they didn't know what to do with her, as they had no Sister Larsen going to Connecticut on their list. Her bedding was shipped to the east coast. The camera she ordered for her mission went back to Texas. After three weeks in the MTC, they drove her up to our mission office, in the middle of a transfer, at 7:30 in the morning, and when I got a call that she had arrived, I was standing in my bedroom still in my pajamas. By the time I got to the office to welcome her, I'm surprised that she didn't just burst into tears and ask to go home! But breakfast at Mimi's will make almost anything better, and getting Sister Bates for a companion will certainly lift your spirits! Sister Larsen is a real trooper, and she's just had the most pleasant and delightful attitude you can imagine. We are so excited to have her here, and we feel very sorry for the mission in Connecticut. Their loss is our gain! Welcome to the mission, Sister Larsen! We're so glad you're here!

Thank you so much for taking care of our daughter sister Larsen. We have been worried about the turbulent start of her mission and are looking forward to getting her first mail from the mission field to hear where she is landed. But now it seems that she is in goood hands.
