Every year, June 28th rolls around. Every year, Bruce gets older and older and older. Every year we find another way to let him know just how very much we love him! This year was no exception! So, late on the evening of June 27th, several of us gathered in his office at the Utah Salt Lake City Mission Headquarters to redecorate. Elder Salisbury and Elder Byrd were first timers in this office redecorating business, and at first it took them a bit by surprise!

Jolene and Kristi, however, having been doing this since shortly after they gave up their pacifiers, so it was a piece of cake for them! There was a new twist this year, however, we actually did redecorate his office
FOR REAL under the princess pink decorations. As I had mentioned in the blog about the last office redecoration, his mission president office is pretty blah. Last time, I tried the shiny approach. Kristi is much more refined in her taste, and she went with early American history. I gotta say, she does a far better job.

Over the Americana was a fabulous princess pink motif and everyone enjoyed helping out with that!

Project complete: Elder Tory, Elder Byrd, Elder Freitas, Elder Salisbury, Rob, Jolene, Kristi and Nancy all wish Bruce a very happy 56th birthday!

As you can see, it was all a huge success. The next day the President, inspired by the pretty pink princess party paraphernalia, took himself out to lunch, grabbed a tambourine, and danced the day away! Everyone in the restaurant thought it was highly entertaining! Happy birthday!
