Pitter Patter of the Potters

One of the really fun things about my family - and I mean my extended family - as in that means it includes not only my children and my grandchildren, but it also includes my brothers and sisters and their children and their grandchildren - one of the really fun things about our family is that we LOVE to be together. I'm not talking about if we happen to run into each other. I'm talking about my neice, Natalie Potter, calling up and saying, "Hey, we're in Indiana, and since that is east of the Mississippi and you're east of the Mississippi there in Delaware, how about we stop by for a visit this weekend?" Seriously, being on the same continent is enough reason to stop by for a visit. My siblings will fly across the country for absurd occasions, and it is wonderful! So when Natalie and George, were in Idaho on a cross country month long train trip with their four children, (Yes. I said it. A month long train trip with four children. It seemed like a good idea at the time. Another really fun thing about my family is that most things do seem like a good idea at the time, so we all end up on great adventures!) it only made sense that they would stop in Salt Lake City to see us. That happened on the same night as the missionaries came over for a picnic. As long as you're having a party, you may as well invite everyone! Alex, Natalie's 8 year old, commented that "when we invite the missionaries over for dinner at our house, only two come and there sure were a lot of missionaries for dinner at Aunt Nancy's house!" A great time was had by all, and I drove them to the train station at 2:00 in the morning.....which seemed like a good idea at the time....
