December 17, 2012 - Playing at the Church History Museum

Few people know that the actual ship that Nephi built and brought his family across the sea to the promised land is quite well preserved and lives on the second floor of the Church History Museum.  Other artifacts up there in the Children's Museum section of the building include the original brass plates, gold plates, the Liahona, the bricks and stones from the temple in Jerusalem, some Mexican dancing skirts, and chickens.  Our grandchildren are all very familiar with the Children's section of the Church History Museum, and they love to go there and play.  Whenever they visit, we make a trip there for a great time!
Ethan, fishing over the side of Nephi's ship.
Hailey, reading the Brass Plates
And then translating the Reformed Egyptian characters into English.
Abby, exploring the New World.
There were some migrant workers there, JD and Shane,
I believe they are some Ancient Jews, building the temple in Jerusalem
Look out!  Here come the Babylonians to knock the temple down!
Sawyer's just hanging out, watching the parade go by.
Scarlett and Abby found these really cute babies in the mirror.
With very cute little baby feet.
"Mama!  This baby can stick her tongue out just like me!"
Hailey and Ethan love to dance to the Mexican music!

And then it's time to gather the eggs from the hen house.

All in all, a perfect day.
