December 23, 2012 - Blessing Baby Sawyer

One of the things that Kristi and David planned to do while they were out here in Utah was to give Sawyer a name and a blessing. It was so sweet of them to do it here so that grandpa could participate. We chose Sunday afternoon, December 23rd, for that special blessing. What a wonderful day it was! We are so delighted to have baby Sawyer in our family!

We were taking facebook pictures.

When we were done taking pictures, we made some brownies. They were delicious!

Before bed, we were serenaded by Scarlett, Ethan and Hailey. They played a piano tune together for us all. It was simply marvelous!

After we put all the kids to bed, or so we thought, the girls started wrapping presents. Turns out JD is not nearly as smart as Ethan, who escaped his pak-n-play, (which he did at least 50 times every night they were here) slipped past the guard, (JD) and came barging into the bedroom at one point in time. He was promptly returned to the pak-n-play. Again.

This is very serious business.

I hope you like this sweatshirt on Kristi. She stole it from me. She wore it the whole time she was here, and when they were getting ready to go home, I started to tell her that she could take it because it looked so cute on her. She smiled at me, and said, "I already packed it." Wait a minute!!
