January 9, 2013 - One New Missionary!

Okay.  This was just the weirdest transfer ever!  We got ONE new missionary....just ONE!!!  Who ever heard of such a thing??  Lucky for us, it was Sister Barrick, from Kentucky, and she is one fabulous missionary!  A car drove her up from the MTC and we met her in the parking lot.  Strangest transfer day ever.

So the first thing we did was take her to the mission home for breakfast.
Scarlett played a little welcome to the mission song on her ukulele.
Jolene helped make a big breakfast for everyone.
Between visiting family, and other random missionaries,
the place was, quite frankly, kind of a zoo.
Whatever.  She may as well get used to us right off the bat!
Bo joined us for a pop tart.
Jenna loves missionaries of all kinds!
Elder Humphries donned an apron and flipped the pancakes.
Not a huge shock who is going to be her trainer, so Sister Ray joined us for breakfast.  Sister Druker was there too.  She's our kind of new missionary from Ukarine,  on her outbound from Temple Square.  She follows a long tradition of fabulous missionaries from Temple Square.  We absolutely LOVE having them serve with us!!
Sister Druker is serving with Sister Corrales and Sister Guerra.
I don't exactly remember why Elder Colton was there, but we fed him.
Elder Rasmussen always shows up when there is food.
Sister Barrick got a warm welcome from the quilt ladies,
and a warm welcome from us!  We're so glad to have her here!
