October 22, 2012 - Day Trip to Amish Country
In Utah, we live in the middle of the Mormon Culture. In Dealaware, we live fairly close to the heart of Amish Country, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. It is a wonderful culture, filled with reminders of a time when life was slower and simpler. We love driving through the rolling hills of the Pennsylvania countryside, seeing the windmills near the neat farm houses and the buggies on the roads. There are horses and Amish men working side by side in the fields. It is beautiful! When we get there, we love sampling the homemade preserves and salsas, and the kids love petting the baby farm animals. It was a wonderful day together!
