You think you work hard?

I had some missionaries at my house the other day. They took their shoes off at the front door. When was the last time you walked so much that you wore holes through the bottoms of your shoes? Yeah. Me neither.

  1. Sister Winn, One of your missionaries is my son. He just told me that he's worn out his first pair of missionary shoes - he's been out since February. Thanks for taking such good care of our missionaries! We love you because you love them.

  2. I'll never forget when I wore out my shoes in the MTC - and you sent Loni on an errand to the mall, to buy about 30 pairs of Doc Martens for me to choose from. That pair of shoes was the best pair I've ever owned. You know so well how to take care of missionaries. Thanks for sharing all your experiences. Love you guys!

  3. My question is, how do they tell their shoes apart when they go to put them back on? Good thing Travis isn't one of your missionaries...

  4. Rod went on his mission to Venezuela, and his shoes were wearing out so fast...so he was able to get a brand-new semi-truck tire that had an inch tread on it, cut out two soles and nailed them on to his shoes! Lasted the rest of his mission! (the tread was worn down to 1/4 inch by the end of his mission...and he still has a piece!)
