While they are on their missions, the Elders are supposed to put aside all of the unimportant things of their life in the past. Girlfriends, cars, jobs, school and sports all move to the back burner, and are forgotten while they serve. Mostly. But it is March. And the NCAA tournament is going on. And BYU has a very good team this year. And all of the Elders know that President Winn is a huge BYU fan. And that as a mission president, he doesn't have all the restrictions that the Elders do. Which means that he will be watching said BYU games in the tournament. So when Elder Riggers called me the other night and asked me a simple question, I knew what the answer was.
"Sister Winn, I was just wondering, is the President happy tonight?"
"Oh yes, Elder Riggers, he is very happy!"
"Well, just exactly how happy might very happy be?"
"About 22 points happy."
"YES! That's awesome! Thank you so much!"
It's so nice to know that our Elders are always concerned about President Winn's happiness.
