Sister's Training

The leadership training that we had on February 8th and 9th was really amazing! As I sat there listening to the Elders teach each other, I was a little sad that none of our Sisters were there to hear it first hand. So President Winn and I decided to repeat the training, and this time just invite the Sisters. On February 22nd, all 25 of the sisters gathered in the mission office for a day of leadership training. Aren't they just adorable?

Of course, the tables in the Relief Society Room looked quite different than they do when we train the Elders. Our Assistants murmured a little that I never put flowers on the table for them! I just ignored them.

Our opening song, "Called to Serve", sounded completely different on this morning!

The Sisters thoroughly enjoyed being together, and the training was amazing, again!

We even had one of our favorite former sisters from the mission, Sister Blackwelder, join us. It was way fun to see her again!

We had three sets of Elders come to train us. All six of those Elders were VERY nervous about training a room full of sisters! They were spit polished and dressed to perfection - and nervous as a bunch of tom cats on a hot tin roof!

I set the lunch tables so that the room looked sort of like an Easter Egg basket, because Elders are just not as fun to spiff the place up for. Quite frankly, elders just don't care where they are eating, only what they are eating. On this day, we had fun with both! Sister Jennie Soulier made a delicious lunch for us, which everyone enjoyed!

It was a perfect day.
