The Cleaning Nazi

When we moved into the mission home a year and a half ago, I was delighted to discover that my kitchen stove had a flat cooktop.  I know that those who love to cook prefer natural gas, but for those of us who only cook to remain alive, we LOVE the flat cooktops!  They are way easier to clean, and my children will swear to you that I am a cleaning nazi.
I did notice right off, however, that there was a tiny black spot in the back left hand corner of the cooktop, where probably some food had spilled and then burned.  I tried to get it off.  I was not successful.  Over the past year and a half I have tried a myriad of cleaners to get that stupid black spot off the stovetop.  It's not really very big, but it just annoyed me that i couldn't get it off.  I've tried Comet, SOS pads, cooktop cleaner, magic eraser sponges, Windex, Lysol, Bar Keepers Friend, 3-M scrubber sponges - everything I could think of!  No luck.  The dumb spot was still there.  Last week, I finally decided I had had enough.  It was me, or the spot.  Joe vs. the Volcano.  I was determined that I was going to conquer the black spot.  I gathered my arsenal of cleaners and got ready to tackle the beast.  I leaned across the stove and got real close so that I could stare the monster down.
IT'S A LOGO!
The stove company will be very happy to know that no matter what happens to their cooktop, the logo will not ever wash off.  And, PS, I've had the cleanest cooktop in the country for the last year and a half.

  1. How funny! I'm sure you have had the cleanest cooktop in the country for the past year and a half. All those cleaners you've tried...so impressive! I think I would have given up.
