June 14, 2013 - Good-bye to the West Missionaries

On July 1, 2012, the Utah Salt Lake City Mission divided, and the Utah Salt Lake City West Mission was created.  We had to give up about 80 missionaries to start that new mission.

The Utah Salt Lake City West Mission has been a phenomenal success, due to faith and lots of hard work by many missionaries serving under the direction of President and Sister Swain.  On Friday, June 14, 2013, President and Sister Swain arranged for all of our former missionaries who were still serving their missions to meet with us and say good-bye.  It was such a thoughtful and gracious gift, one that we can never repay.  Thank you for that opportunity.  When we drove up to the chapel, and saw all of the bicycles lined up outside, I burst into tears.  It went downhill from there.  But  we were delighted to have the opportunity to say good-bye to those sweet missionaries we love.
