Celebrating the 24th of July

Pioneer Day - The 24th of July is a big deal in Utah!  Everyone gets the day off work, and there is a huge parade downtown.  Our missionaries like to go to the parade, to see the sights and talk to lots of people.  We have a contest for them, just to make the day more fun.  Each missionary gets a certain number of points for talking to new people, sharing their testimony, inviting someone to church, giving away a Book of Mormon, and other things like that.  The zone that wins the contest gets to come to the mission home later that day for a barbecue.  It's a great day in the mission!  This year, the Salt Lake Zone won the contest, and had a wonderful time together eating, singing and playing whiffle ball in the cul-de-sac where President and Sister Winn live!
