New Missionary Trainers: July 25, 2012

And if there are thirty new missionaries in the mission, we need thirty old missionaries to train them.  Only by the time you pack off 76 to the West Mission, and get huge new groups of missionaries from the MTC, some of the trainers are barely older than the missionaries they are training!  Fortunately, we get the best missionaries in the world, so everything is working out just fine!  Announcing the companionships is always an exciting time.  "Posterity" is very important in the mission.  Your trainer is your "dad" or "mom".  You have siblings, and grandparents and all kinds of ridiculousness!  But it's fun, and being someone's son or daughter is a great way to feel a part of things right off.

Sister McNelly is up first.

 Sister McNelly will be trained by Sister Falcon.

 Sister Corrales will be trained by Sister Harris.

 Sister Roades will be trained by Sister Nunez.

 Sister Ibarra will be trained by Sister Guerra.

 Sister LeSueur will be trained by Sister Matteson.

 Sister Utai will be trained by Sister Calda.

 Sister Bradshaw will be trained by Sister Scannell.

 Sister Wilkinson will be trained by Sister Loketi.

 Now for the Elders.  Elder Xala is up first.

 Elder Xala will be trained by Elder Retamal.

 Elder Rodriguez will be trained by Elder Laurente.

 Elder Ravsten will be trained by Elder Verges.

 Elder Williams will be trained by Elder Abadillo.

 Elder Andino will be trained by Elder Pinto.

 Elder Olsen will be trained by Elder Curbelo.

 Elder Card will be trained by Elder Hill.

Here we have a family photo - a three generation shot.

Elder Vogt is Elder Hill's father. 

Elder Hill is Elder Card's father.

So Elder Vogt is Elder Card's grandfather.

But, sadly enough, Elder Vogt is "dying," or going home.

So the grandson won't get to know his grandfather very well.

But he will be trained, just like his father was trained.

And the Vogt family name lives on.....

 

Elder Bickley will be trained by Elder Woodland.

Which means that he will probably talk with that funny accent, too!  :)

 Elder Matson will be trained by Elder Timuia.

 Elder Neilson will be trained by Elder Glover.

 Elder Farmer will be trained by Elder Lee.

 Elder Taylor will be trained by Elder Darker.

 

 Elder Wampler will be trained by Elder Pellerin.  In Wyoming.

 Elder Studer will be trained by Elder Allen.  In Wyoming.

 Elder Lawrence will be trained by Elder Steele.  In Wyoming.

 Elder Purcell is only a LITTLE excited to be training!

 Elder Kaya cooperates.

 Elder Kaya will be trained by Elder Purcell.

 In Napali!?!?!  Are you for real!?!?!?

 Elder Thomas will be trained by Elder Needham.

 Elder Alvarado will be trained by Elder McDonald.

 

Elder MacKillop will be trained by Elder Park.

 Elder Mumford will be trained by Elder Barker.

 Elder Antazo will be trained by Elder Steiner.

 Got just a touch of Polynesian pride here....

 Elder Roberts will be trained by Elder Fili.
