Helping out in Frisco

Because Callie decided to make her debut into the world before she was really finished cooking, she had to stay in the hospital NICU down in Frisco, Texas.  This caused a bit of a dilemma for her parents.  Nathan, her dad, was supposed to be working every day.  McKenzie, her mama, had a difficult time being in two places at once, and three-year-old big sister, Kenna, isn't really old enough to stay at home by herself.  When McKenzie was at the hospital with Callie, she felt guilty for not being at home with Kenna.  When McKenzie was at home with Kenna, she felt guilty for not being at the hospital with Callie.  Poor Nathan and McKenzie were both just trying to figure out when they could actually be in bed, sleeping, without feeling guilty!  Thankfully, McKenzie's family is full of super-heroes, and they all showed up in shifts to help out the Winns.  But it was our turn to help, and besides, it was killing the grandma in me not to hold that tiny new baby!  So, on August 27th, I flew to Texas to help out for a few days.  It was marvelous!
I got to go to the hospital and hold sweet little Callie.
I got to play with Kenna.

I got to play with two of my other grandbabies, Jenna and Bo,
who live just a couple of blocks away from Kenna!

And, we got to go to the Dallas Zoo!  Frisco is a great place to be!  Thursday, August 30th. The big kids in Dallas have all gone back to school, Jarom took the day off work, we borrowed Kenna for the day while McKenzie went to the hospital to visit Callie, Alixa, Jenna and Bo were ready to go and we pretty much had the entire Dallas zoo to ourselves! What could possibly be better?!?! Only that Tiffany, the camel, was excited and ready to give us some rides!! What a day at the zoo we had!

Grandma, will you ride with us?

Ummm, never mind, we don't really need you.
Bo, with his death grip on Tiffany, who would have stayed on all day!
Bo was born to be a nomad!
