Elder Purcell and Elder Mendenhall serve in the Haven Ward among the Nepali refugees. They absolutely LOVE the Nepali people, and enjoy learning their customs and language. They eat goat and a boiled milk yogurty kind of cheese stuff on a regular basis. Every time they come into my house, they tell me "Namastae", which means hello. They also tell me "Dhanybhad" before they leave. That means thank you. On October 6th, however, they may have gotten in a little over their heads. They had just spent two days with the Nepali people, celebrating a big festival of some sort. That night, when they stopped by my house, they sheepishly admitted, "We aren't really sure, but we think they might have married us to each other."
Pretty sure that goes into the category, "Things I never thought would happen on my mission."
