Another six weeks over, another transfer day. Sending four missionaries home and adding a dozen new ones from the MTC, with a handful of Visa Waiters in the mix for good measure. Life in the mission field goes around. And around. And around. And around. The "new" missionaries become the "old" missionaries, and the "old" missionaries go home. The Elders we think just barely got here are suddenly senior companions, and district leaders and zone leaders. The Sisters we think are still brand new are training new sisters. Sundays and Mondays and Fridays all roll into one, and the month you think you're in was two months ago, and suddenly a year is gone and you still cannot remember what day of the week it is. Someone asks you what you think about the nomination for president and you say, "President Winn is doing fine. We have transfers next week" because you forget that there is any life outside the mission. Which is really okay, because this work we do right here in our mission is eternal in its significance, and what could possibly be more important? Could there be any more wonderful young people on this planet than those who are with us right here? I think not. So we move on with another transfer and we smile all day, every day, because we love these kids and we love this work!
