February 20, 2013 - A New Assistant to the President

I guess all good things must come to an end.  Elder Ramos has to be in Brazil on Friday, because school starts Monday and he needs to be in class.  So we're going to have to let him go, and we'll need a new assistant.  Needless to say, we are going to miss his adorable grin, his passionately positive attitude, and his "How marvelous is this mission!" when he is gone!
Not wanting Elder Rasmussen's Spanish to get too rusty, we decided to bring our resident Argentinian on board.  Elder Verges will be taking Elder Ramos' place as the new Assistant to the President.  This will be a little rough, as Elder Verges will have to speak English quite a bit, and that is not his favorite language.  Whatever.  We just barely convinced him that, just because he was a visa waiter in Argentina and spent the first ten months of his mission there, President Winn doesn't necessarily do things wrong in the Utah Salt Lake City Mission, they are just different than in Elder Verges' mission in Argentina.  Do our visa waiters have this much trouble when they finally get to their assigned countries after serving with us????
Elder Rasmussen and Elder Verges will do a great job together!
