They chatted with the goats and fed them.
They climbed in the hay wagon and the tree house.
But the best part of the day was when we visited the pond! It was filled to the brim with ducks and geese. Now these ducks and geese are fed by humans all summer long, so they are not at all afraid of people. The trouble is, during the winter, they don't get as much TLC as they are used to, so when people do come, they get a little aggresive! We had brought a loaf of old bread to share with the ducks, and Jenna was having a wonderful time throwing pieces of bread to the ducks on the other side of the fence.
What she didn't realize was that behind her, the geese had come around and were waiting for food on this side of the fence too! When Alixa put Jenna down, the geese, who were as big as she is, wanted some of that bread NOW! Alixa was telling Jenna to throw the bread down! Jenna didn't understand that you could just throw the whole thing down, so she was tearing pieces as fast as her little fingers could tear, and throwing them down. Evidently, she wasn't fast enough for the geese, who were honking and snapping at her. Grandma was no help at all - laughing hysterically and taking pictures!
In the end, the geese got fed, and Jenna and Bo and Alixa all survived.
It was a great day at the farm!
