Jan. 6-14th - Zone Conference: Giving Your Heart and a Willing Mind

Time for Zone Conferences again. The first zone conference after all the changes we made for the new year. P-Days are on Monday now. Temple trips happen once a month instead of once a week. The mission has reorganized from eleven zones to eight zones. The Cannon Zone and the Parley Zone are no more. Now we have great names thought up by President Winn. Names like North, South, East, West, Central, Salt Lake, Wyoming and Tooele Zones. (Yeah, I know. When they were passing out creativity in heaven, I'm pretty sure he was absent that day.) That means the zones are a little bigger, with three districts in most of them. All of the changes were made to bring us more in line with Preach My Gospel and the Missionary Handbook. We want to be an exactly obedient mission so that we can be the very best mission possible. We want our missionaries to be exactly obedient as well. They're all trying, and the results are amazing! We are seeing miracle after miracle and more success than ever. It is amazing that the Lord blesses us when we follow the commandments! At this zone conference, we talked about being enthusiastic, proactive, experimenting in excellent exactness, becoming the fourth kind of missionary through unconditional surrender to the Lord, for "the Lord requireth the heart and a willing mind." (D&C 64:34) Our missionaries are very dedicated and eager to give their best. We also ordered a new "Defenders of Zion" banner, since the old one was getting too full. So everyone got to commit themselves again, and sign the banner. It was a seven-day spiritual feast! I will never, never get enough of being around these missionaries. It is a wonderful blessing in my life to associate with them.
