The Maynerich Girls

Grandpa Paul Winn was having his 80th birthday on January 11, 2011, so we decided to have a party for him. Since President Winn can't leave the area, we decided to have the party in Salt Lake City. We scheduled the party for Friday, January 21st and invited everyone to come. Loni decided that since she and the girls were going to come out anyway, they might as well come and stay for awhile. I couldn't have been happier! So on the 7th of January, Loni, Alli, Madison and Taya arrived for a three week visit. We had a wonderful time while they were here!

Taya got a haircut from her Aunt Kristi.
Madison was the next in line.

Taya was delighted to discover that grandma keeps goldfish in a little baggie on the counter in the kitchen, and this convenient stool to help her reach them!

She also found out that grandma will give her Lucky Charms and let her pick out all the marshmallows and eat them. Even if she's already had her bath.
You can always have another bath.

Alli and Madison helped grandma make cookies.

She even let them pour the chocolate chips in. Let me tell you, those cookies had a bunch of chocolate chips in them!

One day, grandma took Alli and Madison up to Park City, where they all went snow tubing. It didn't take them too long to figure out how much fun that was! They went up and down the hill non-stop. The tow rope was no problem at all. Most of the time, grandma couldn't keep up with the girls. Sometimes, grandma would find Madison and ask her if she wanted to go down once together. "Grandma," Madison would explain, with a hand on her hip, "I'm tubing with my friends right now. Can't you go by yourself?" Silly grandma. Madison didn't have any friends when we got there, but by the end of the day, she knew everyone on the hill, staff and patrons alike!

The next day, grandma stayed home to play with Taya and mom took Alli and Madison up to Park City to ski school. It was a pretty fun day, and both girls did really well! Loni never could find Madison on the slopes. I'm sure she was off skiing with her friends. But she got a few cute pictures of Alli. Taya and Grandma had a wonderful day!

It sure was fun to have some time with those Maynerich girls!
