A Winn Family Christmas

December brought a bit of a change to the mission home. We had family here visiting, and that meant that things were not as usual around the house. Jarom, Alixa and 18 month old Jenna and Natie, McKenzie and 18 month old Kenna, came from Richmond, Virginia to visit us for two weeks. It was the most wonderful Christmas gift we could have received! Of course, that meant that Kristi and David and Jolene and Rob came up from Provo to visit more often than usual. Admittedly, mom and dad are pretty boring, but if there are siblings and nieces around to play with, the mission home is much more appealing! We were fine with all that, since we love having our Provo kids up here as often as we can convince them to come! Even grandpa Winn braved the cold winter weather to join us for a few days.

Having the Virginia Winns here meant a new kind of music in our home.

It meant a new kind of "not quite awake yet" in the morning.

It meant a new kind of TV show in our family room. Little Einsteins, anyone?

It meant a WHOLE new way to use grandpa's treadmill in the basement!

It meant mad games of "Ring Around the Rosy" going on in the family room.

It meant a new breed of manners at the dinner table.

It meant tickle-fests and grandpa blowing on your belly.

It meant time spent together.

It meant some serious, quality family Kodak moments.

It meant time for some light reading.

It meant having Alixa here to cook. Yipee! That means GOOD food!

It meant wrestling matches in the basement.

It meant lots of fun on Christmas morning.

It meant trying clothes on the yet-to-be-born baby boy to see how they fit.

It meant a LOVELY new hat for dad.

It meant trying to get two one year olds on the same chair for a picture.

Unsuccessfully.

It meant extra loves and kisses.

It meant a whole lot of joy. We couldn't have been happier.
