Too Soon to be Trunky Temple Tuesday

Even though our next group of missionaries didn't leave until January 26th, we had them go to the temple for the last time together on Tuesday, January 4th. The Salt Lake Temple was scheduled to be closed for cleaning the last two weeks of January, and so Trunky Temple Tuesday was held long before the missionaries should have been getting trunky! Our going home group was small this time, just three Elders and one Sister, and it was really delightful to get so much one on one time with them. Each of them had the opportunity to go home in the last transfer and spend Christmas with their families. Each chose to stay one more transfer, and each one expressed their gratitude for having stayed that last transfer. What a fine group of missionaries we are losing!

You think they're a little excited about the prospect of dating again?

It was like being in Mary Poppins with the Chim-chim-chirree dancers!

After the temple, it was down to the Gateway Mall and Tucanos for lunch!

"Junk an a po!" on the escalator going up. Aren't we glad they have matured so much over the past two years?!?!

Delicious!

We couldn't believe he ate the whole thing!

Soon, the mission will have to learn to get along without them.
