Opening the mission call and reading "....called to serve in the Utah Salt Lake City Mission..." now seems like a lifetime ago. Every single one of us had the same thought, "There are missionaries in Utah? Why?" And yet, it seems that one and a half or two years have passed by in the blink of an eye, that just yesterday we got off the bus from the MTC feeling new and underprepared and overwhelmed. How can the time be over so soon? Yet, as sad as it makes us feel, we know that it is time to go home. We came. We learned. We loved. We taught. Now, we take our testimonies and our memories, our friendships and our experiences, our very tired selves, and we go home. But first, we have one last hurrah, one last night to share together, to remember and to laugh together....and then we leave our home in Utah, our beloved Salt Lake City Mission, and we go back to our families.
So, here are the girls:
A friend, Sister Taylor, Sister McDonnell, Sister Ahern,
Sister Boyles, Sister Larsen, Sister Winn, Sister Bates,
Sister Daw and Sister Miller
and here are the boys:
Elder Purcell, Elder Vogt, Elder Sorensen, Elder Flaquer,
Elder Torres, Elder Fuentes,Elder McNees, Elder Romero,
Elder Tui and President Winn
and here is all of the family together.
and here are the ridiculous poses we held as we attempted to get each other to guess what exactly it was that we were trying to portray in a fabulous game of Reverse Charades, which lasted nearly all night long, and the sharing of memories, which lasted the rest of the night.
