The Homeschool Mom in me just won't die. We're sitting here in the middle of all this Latter-day Saint Church history and it's more than I can do NOT to take our missionaries to see it! So, On May 23rd and May 30th, we went to the Temple Quarry up in Little Cottonwood Canyon, where all the granite stones that were used to build the Salt Lake City Temple came from. Our dear friend, Paul Thomas Smith, generously donated his time to the mission once again, and came to tell us the history and stories of those who labored so diligently on that temple for the 40 years that it took to build. It was a good time.
These pictures are from May 23rd, the North, Salt Lake, East and Central Zones. It was rainy and freezing that day!!
