Sometimes, we get trial missionaries in our mission. They are about the best thing since sliced bread, and they are a huge blessing to us! For one reason or another, they need to try things out to see how a mission fits them, which only means that we are so lucky that even though they aren't going to serve the rest of their mission here, we get to have them for three months! Best deal ever! Of course, it's almost as hard to let trial missionaries leave as it is to let visa waiters leave as it is to let our own missionaries go home at the end of two years! But we sort of feel like they are our kids, and we are sending them off on a mission! On November 12th, two of our trial missionaries, Elder Johnston and Elder Price gathered with family, friends and mission companions at the mission office to open their official call letters. Elder Price was first, and he was called to...
TEXAS!
Next, Elder Johnston opened his call to...
HAWAII!
Elder Johnston and Elder Smith
Elder Price and Elder Edstrom
Elder Price and Elder Baier
We will certainly miss these fine young men.
