Wednesday, October 17, 2012. All of the missionaries, in the chapel, waiting for transfers to start.
Our newest missionaries are a little nervous. They will have to stand and introduce themselves, bear their testimony and explain why they came on a mission. No big deal, right? There are only 200 hard core, experienced missionaries sitting out there listening to them, fresh out of the MTC....older, wiser, more mature missionaries who know
everything there is to know....
The new Elders sign their names on the mission banner, pledging to become Defenders of Zion...
...to be meticulously obedient every day, to sacrifice the things of the world for the things of God, to teach and testify of the restored gospel to everyone, to baptize every week....
...never to speak evil of anyone, to serve God with all his heart, might, mind, and strength, to know and thoroughly understand the peinciples and doctrines of Preach My Gospel, chapter 3, to work smart and focus on the key indicators. Here are the examples to follow, our new Assistant to the President, Elder Ramos, the current Assistant, Elder Humphries, and the departing Assistant, Elder Savoia.

Then we all move outside, where the action is happening. New Zone Leaders announced, new areas, new companions, new apartments.

Elder Barker and Elder Ma'asi will lead the South Salt Lake Zone.

Okay! Elder Rasmussen and Elder Hansen will lead the Farmington Zone.
Elder Miller and Elder Verges will lead the Holladay Zone.
Elder Woodland and Elder Miller will lead the Salt Lake Zone.
Elder Rex and Elder Gallup will lead the Layton Zone.
The Sisters of the mission will lead us all!!!
